With this spring concert, the Philharmonic Chorus celebrated its 60th Anniversary. Among the pieces performed in the 2007 concert were "Veni Sancte Spiritus " by Andrew Rindfleisch (World Premier Performance commissioned for this occasion by the Philharmonic Chorus of Madison), Randall Thompson's "Alleluia" (which was performed at the first Philharmonic Chorus Concert on Sunday, February 16, 1947), and "In the Beginning" by Aaron Copland (composed in 1947, the chorus's first year).
